Adrian Zacher and Patrick Grossmann will collaborate and bring their extensive knowledge of sleep and temporo-mandibular joint dysfunction to a wider UK audience in 2020.

A limited series of one day events are planned to help Dentists, GP’s, ENT, Physical medicine, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Rheumatologists and Pharmacists help their patients and improve outcomes.

Numbers are strictly limited to ensure the days are interactive and deliver a real opportunity to learn.

6 hours educational credit will be provided as a paper course certificate.

Patrick Grossmann BDS LDS RCS D.ORTH RCS

Patrick qualified from UCH Dental School in 1974 completing his specialist orthodontic training in the UK and Germany in 1978. His interest in TMJ disorders led him to meet Dr Brendan Stack DDS – Co-founder of the American Academy Craniofacial Pain American Academy Craniofacial Pain – and for 25 years he travelled annually to Washington DC to study and collaborate with Brendan in his world-renowned practice.

Patrick has organised international symposia on TMD in the UK as well as co-founding the British Society for the Study of Craniomandibular Disorders, BSSCMD.

In 2017 he co-authored one of the few long-term studies on the treatment of splint-assisted disc plication surgery which was published in a peer-review journal. Patrick’s involvement in difficult and challenging cases led him to establish a multi-disciplinary team so that all aspects of TMD can be treated. He continues to work in private practice as well as lecturing and mentoring.

Adrian Zacher MBA

Adrian has organised international sleep symposia in the UK and co-founded the British Society of Dental Sleep Medicine. Then for over a decade, he taught hundreds of dentists across the UK, how and when to safely provide anti-snoring devices. He instigated the BSDSM pre-treatment screening protocol and is the lead author of Carranza’s Clinical Periodontology“ Sleep-Disordered Breathing” 2018, Elsevier Press.

Adrian founded and ran Zacher Sleep Appliances (for 11 years) and pioneered oral appliance therapy when the concept was in its infancy. 

His sleep experience broadened while working for ResMed in an international role and as a Trustee of Hope2Sleep (a sleep apnoea patient support charity).

In 2019 Adrian launched Signposting™ to help snorers find the most appropriate type of professional to help them. He provides professional education to dentists, GPs and pharmacists and 1-2-1 mentoring for dentists.
